When I asked Kirsten to write about her experience with her boudoir session I knew she wouldn’t say no! Here are her words on how much fun she had!
I was really hesitant to agree to completing a boudoir shoot. Is my body right for this? What about the dimples on my legs and my mom tummy? I have never modeled, what do I do with my face? So many questions. I hope you enjoy Kirsten’s Boudoir Experience with The Creative Shutter Boudoir studio!
And then I thought, wait, this is MY body.
I have dimples, I have a mom tummy, I have an amazing body that I choose to love and embrace and these are the reasons why I deserve a boudoir photo shoot.
I attempted to follow up on all my model moves. I looked at magazines and even looked at poses on Pinterest, to gather my inner Kendall Jenner, VS Model vibes.
Upon arrival, I was sitting in my car, sweating, nervous that I was going to make a fool of myself and I am going to pay for this (I was wrong) . Laura welcomed me with a huge smile and a “hey gurl” and it was like an instant connection. While preparing, we talked like we had known each other forever and I was doing a favor for my friend.
I got my Hair curled and my makeup and lashes done (everyone looks better in a fierce lash). After getting dressed in my first outfit, Laura walked me over and showed me each and every pose that she wanted to capture ( I can do this, she makes it look so easy and she was having fun). “Let’s blast some music and rock this out” she said. ( i could feel my confidence exploding)
Posing.
1 was extremely awkward, But Laura clicked away “WOW” she said and showed me my first shot. I looked amazing. Pose after pose, outfit after outfit and setting after setting, Laura just continued to assist me in every way manageable ( yes I struggled along the way). Some shots we didn’t like, and that’s totally normal, Others Laura just let me be me and let me tell you, those wings really did give a lady some serious confidence boosters.
I’m so thankful for this experience!
In end, I am so thankful that a woman, a mom, a businesswoman like Laura does this because it truly empowers all woman in every body shape and personality to the core.
